Owner and Instructor
Pauline LaForest has proudly called Alaska home since 2006. After years dedicated to raising and homeschooling her four children, she pursued her passion for emergency medicine and community health education.
Pauline became a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in 2018 and has since expanded her role. At her current job (of six years) as an EMT for a local medevac company in Anchorage, she holds leadership roles including lead EMT, Field Training Officer (FTO), and Base Manager. In these positions, she not only responds to critical patient transports but also trains and mentors new EMTs, ensuring high clinical standards and operational readiness.
Prior to that, she worked as an EMT with another regional provider, further broadening her experience.
Pauline is a certified instructor through the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) and currently teaches:
In addition to leading Tundra Medical Training and Supplies, Pauline is a full-time nursing student, continually advancing her clinical knowledge to better serve her students and community.
Her real-world experience, leadership background, and passion for education bring depth, professionalism, and practical insight to every course she teaches.
When she’s not training or studying, Pauline enjoys hiking, running, biking, and exploring Alaska’s outdoors — bringing that same energy and dedication into every training session.
