Basic First Aid, AED, CPR

 

CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Training

Our CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid courses are taught through HSI and approved by the State of Alaska. They are designed to meet a variety of training needs, offering four levels of CPR certification:

  • Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED Training
  • Pediatric First Aid and Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED Training
  • Adult First Aid and Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED Training
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – for healthcare providers

Training is delivered through a two-part blended training system:

Online Learning Component

Once registered, participants will receive an email with access to the digital course materials, which include instructional videos and a required knowledge test.

In-Person Skills Session

After completing the online portion, participants attend an in-person session focused entirely on hands-on practice and skill evaluation. This format streamlines the classroom experience, making it more efficient while ensuring competence and confidence in CPR techniques.

 Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) – 40-Hour Certification Course

This comprehensive 40-hour Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) course is conducted at our fully equipped training center and taught by a State of Alaska-certified instructor.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive state certification as an Alaska Emergency Trauma Technician.

Course Overview:

The ETT course provides foundational training in the recognition and treatment of both trauma and medical emergencies. Students will gain practical, hands-on experience and develop critical lifesaving skills, including:

  • Measuring and recording basic vital signs
  • Spinal immobilization and patient backboarding
  • Airway management techniques
  • And much more

This course is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in emergency services or those seeking to enhance their first responder capabilities.

Alaska 80 Hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Bridge

Alaska 80 Hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Bridge

EMT Bridge Course – 80-Hour Training Program

Our 80-hour EMT Bridge Course is designed for individuals who are already certified as Alaska Emergency Trauma Technicians (ETTs) and are seeking to advance their training and certification to become an Alaska EMT I.

Upon successful completion of this course and the required assessments, participants will be certified as an Alaska EMT I and eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written exam.

Course Overview:

This program builds upon the foundational skills learned in the ETT course and introduces advanced techniques to prepare students for a higher level of emergency medical care. Topics include:

  • Expanded patient assessment and care
  • Airway management and oxygen delivery systems
  • Medical and trauma emergencies
  • Pharmacological interventions
  • And more

This bridge course empowers students to deliver a higher standard of pre-hospital care and opens the door to further professional development in emergency medical services.

EMT I, II, II Skills Check Off for Recertification

Need signed off on your skills for re-certification, just call us to schedule a time. We do not charge for this service.

Need CME'S???

Any time we are holding any training we invite current  EMT's to attend portions of the training to obtain CME's. We just ask that you call in advance to ensure there is room.
